Angel Prabhat

Angel Prabhat is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), trained full-spectrum doula, and maternal-child health educator serving families throughout Northern Illinois. As the founder of Blossom Lactation & Wellness, she is passionate about helping parents feel informed, supported, and confident as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum recovery, infant feeding, and the transition into parenthood. Angel believes every family deserves compassionate, evidence-based care that honors their unique goals, values, and circumstances.

Drawing from both professional training and her own experience as a mother of four, Angel understands that the early days with a new baby can be both joyful and overwhelming. She was drawn to this work because she saw how often new parents receive plenty of advice, yet very little support for themselves. Her goal is to bridge that gap by caring for the whole family, not just the baby. Whether she's helping overcome feeding challenges, preparing a nourishing snack, holding a baby while parents shower or rest, assisting with babywearing, or simply offering reassurance during a difficult day, Angel strives to create a calm, judgment-free space where families feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Families often describe Angel as warm, approachable, and encouraging, with a practical style that blends evidence-based guidance with genuine compassion. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting and enjoys helping families find solutions that work for their unique circumstances. Outside of supporting clients, Angel enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, exploring local parks and family adventures, baking sourdough, and continually expanding her knowledge to better serve the families in her community.

I believe every parent deserves to feel cared for, not just care for everyone else. I'm here to remind you that you don't have to have it all figured out, and you don't have to do it alone. I know how much it means to have someone who listens without judgment, offers encouragement, and helps lighten the load. My goal is simple: to care for you as you care for your baby, so your family can thrive, not just get through the newborn days.
