Angela Johnson

Angela Johnson is a full-spectrum doula and has primarily supported families postpartum in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She brings calming and personalized care for each family she cares for and is dedicated to helping families make a smooth transition with expanding their families  with a new baby at home. Angela has been working with families since 2019 as a career nanny previously and has a background in early childhood education. This helps her support families making sure babies meet those developmental milestones. When Angela was a nanny shed  always loved helping families transition to a new way of life inviting a newborn into the family. There was something special during this time that she always wanted to be around to support  families. She is very dedicated to being a loving and steady caregiver to parents and baby during this vulnerable time. The families that Angela has supported appreciate her deep understanding of safe sleep practices and the calm warmth she brings into each house. Angela also helps to set up families for the next day by preparing bottles, doing dishes, folding laundry, and organizing all those little baby clothing. Angela spends her free time reading books, crocheting, trying new recipes and going on walks when the weather is nice. 

My favorite part of this work is seeing parents become more confident in themselves and knowing I had a small part to play in that. I am also here to remind you that to care for others means you have to care for yourself  too and I am there to help you get food/water or just be a listening ear because sometimes all we need is to slow down and take a break together.
