Asa Jude Vassallo

Asa is a Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) as well as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and an Occupational Therapist (OT). She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University and went on to complete a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Detroit Mercy. Asa has been certified as an IBCLC since 2020 and completed her PA certification in 2024.

Throughout Asa’s career in healthcare, she has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including pediatrics, internal medicine and rehabilitation. She has been committed to delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to patients of all ages, including performing physical exams, diagnosing illnesses and formulating treatment plans.

Asa became an IBCLC while working as a PA in a pediatric clinic. After training, she was able to offer guidance and support to parents of newborns during their first several visits to the clinic. She was able to establish rapport with parents from diverse backgrounds, provide education, explain medical information clearly and address questions and concerns.

In her free time, Asa enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dog. She also enjoys yoga, hiking and playing the violin.
