Dina Mannaberg

Bio

Dina has trained with DONA International and is currently working towards her Postpartum Doula certification. She first became a DOULA in 2017 and was inspired to pursue the path of Postpartum Doula after the birth of her youngest, who is now 10 years old. She was not aware that postpartum support was available until then and at that point decided that she wanted to give back and help in any way she could. This role is extremely fulfilling, and she loves everything from assisting with newborn care to making sure that the mother and family have nutritious meals to eat. She focuses not only on the new Mother and Baby, but the entire family unit. She has a range of experiences with newborn and childcare in her community and of course, with her own family. She understands first-hand how valuable it is for new families to have caring and skillful support and is excited to be a part of a team whose sole purpose is to educate and support new mothers/parents.

Dina has also worked in behavioral health as an intake coordinator in addition to being involved in Postpartum Progress (now PSI), a network of support for mothers who have experienced perinatal mood disorders. Her interest in the emotional wellbeing of families is grounded in a strong knowledge in mental health. Dina’s professional background and personal journey has reinforced how important it is that new parents have doula support for the weeks and months following birth.

Dina knows the value of getting to take a shower, eating a nutritious meal, having extra hands with siblings, or waking up to a load of laundry being done. She is a confident cook and adept at managing a busy household and the needs of everyone when a new baby arrives. Dina is a calming and nurturing presence and has a strong connection and commitment to maintaining up to date evidence-based information.
