Dominique Davis is a Birth & Postpartum Doula, Research Associate and Birth Equity Advocate; servicing the Chicagoland area. Her passion has always been focused around birth, reproductive health and all the aspects surrounding the sacred experience. It is the highest honor to support a birthing person during the most vulnerable time of their lives. Her desire is to bring faith, compassion, trust and respect to each individual process.
She has worked in several different capacities and sectors in healthcare; promoting the wellness of families, women, and babies. Dominique is a dedicated professional, with over 10 years of corporate healthcare experience (nursing, case management, discharge planning, care coordination, and research) and has been a Doula since 2022.
Dominique’s favorite part about being a Doula is that they are atmosphere changers. She loves the fact that as a Doula, she is there to serve the pregnant person and their support system, to make sure all of their needs are met. She likes being able to walk away from each experience having had learned something new, support the birthing person the way that they desired and being apart of a miracle.
Dominique enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Dominique follows strong ethical principles and prides herself on being creative, open-minded, fun-loving, compassionate, and dedicated to her clients. Her ability to connect with her clients and her talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced topics, are both truly superior.
My birth philosophy is that birth is a natural, healthy process, and that women and babies have the wisdom to birth in power and confidence. Our bodies know what to do naturally and we should listen to our bodies during this process. My hope is to serve and support families in any capacity that they need the most.
