Dominique Blue is a full-spectrum doula serving families throughout birth and postpartum in the Chicagoland area. She is deeply committed to whole-person care and advocates for evidence-based birthing practices, bringing both passion and purpose to her work. Since beginning her practice in 2021, Blue has become a GHI Full-Spectrum Certified Doula and has earned multiple certifications in Early Childhood Development, Meal Preparation, Fashion, and Behavioral Health.
In addition to her professional work, Blue volunteers at a Women’s and Children’s Shelter and other nonprofit organizations, offering compassionate support to mothers, at-risk teen parents, and LGBTQ+ families. Her care extends beyond birth and postpartum to include access to empowering resources for individuals and families.
Blue’s love for nurturing newborns and children began early in life, inspiring her to pursue a career rooted in empathy, patience, and unwavering dedication. Families she has supported consistently praise her calm, knowledgeable demeanor and her ability to be assertive when the moment calls for it—especially during labor and delivery. She is a steady, reliable presence in the unpredictable landscape of childbirth.
Outside of her doula work, Blue enjoys spending quality time with her family and children, exploring new interests and cooking together. Her commitment to service continues through her volunteer efforts, guided by the belief that being blessed means being a blessing to others.
I'm here to remind you that Your Birthing story is Yours; i's my job to help support you in making sure it's the one you want and deserve.
When I think about the families I support, I hope they feel empowered, supported, and cared for. At the end of the day, my goal is to make sure every birthing family feels heard, seen, respected, and has the birthing experience they deserve.
