Emily is a nurturing, certified postpartum doula dedicated to supporting families through the early postpartum period with warmth, nourishment, and compassionate care. She has worked intimately with families since obtaining her bachelors degree in music therapy in 2016, providing therapeutic services to patients and their families who were in hospice care. After a difficult birth and postpartum period in 2023, she felt a calling to begin providing postpartum support to families, and is thrilled to be supporting families in this intimate and crucial stage of life.
Her calm, grounding presence helps families feel cared for as they adjust to life with a new baby. During her daytime shifts, Emily offers meal preparation, feeding support, light housekeeping, and attentive newborn care. She is deeply passionate about nurturing the birthing person while providing exceptional, infant-focused support.
Emily enjoys spending her free time hosting dinner parties, spending time with her wife and 3 year old son, meditating, and going on walks outside.
My favorite part of this work is showing up for the birthing person and meeting them where they’re at, providing support in the moment to make them feel nourished and grounded. Everyone wants to hold the baby, I am here to hold you! (And if you’d like me to hold the baby while you shower or nap, I’m happy to do that too!
