Halle is a postpartum doula with five years of experience supporting families through the transition into parenthood. Based in Houston, Texas, she is certified through the Professional Doula Institute . Her experience also includes working in the NICU as a Milk Bank Technician, giving her additional insight into the unique needs of medically fragile infants and the importance of compassionate, individualized support for families. She has also completed education in birth, birth doula support, postpartum care, and lactation through DONA International.
Halle’s approach to care is centered around providing compassionate, hands on support that helps parents feel cared for, confident, and supported during the postpartum period. She also volunteers with local maternal health events throughout Houston. Outside of doula work, Halle is a mixed media artist who loves painting and spending her weekends visiting art galleries throughout the city.
My favorite part of this work is “mothering the mother.” I believe every mother deserves to feel supported, cared for, and heard during such a beautiful and vulnerable transition. I love being a shoulder to lean on, preparing yummy meals and snacks, offering a little massage or extra comfort, and caring for each baby with the same love and attentiveness I would give my own. I also love pouring positive affirmations into babies during their awake time and creating a calm, loving environment where both baby and parents feel safe and supported.
