Jennifer Johnson is a full-spectrum doula and student midwife based in Texas, devoted to preserving the sacredness of physiologic birth while supporting families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and early parenthood. She believes birth is a normal, transformative experience that deserves reverence, safety, and culturally grounded care. Families are drawn to Jennifer’s calm, reassuring presence and her ability to hold steady, compassionate space during one of life’s most tender transitions.
As a full-spectrum doula, Jennifer supports clients across the entire reproductive journey, including birth support, postpartum care, and placenta encapsulation services. She offers holistic, Indigenous-informed postpartum care that honors traditional healing practices, nourishment, rest, and community support. Her background includes hands-on apprenticeship experience in community birth settings and formal studies in anatomy and physiology, developmental psychology, and cultural anthropology. She blends evidence-based knowledge with ancestral wisdom to ensure families feel informed, confident, and deeply supported.
Jennifer’s path to this work grew from her love of women’s wellness, herbalism, and community healing traditions. As the founder of an herbal apothecary serving pregnancy and postpartum families, she brings an integrative, nurturing approach to her care. Families often describe her as grounding, intuitive, and fiercely supportive — someone who listens deeply and advocates with both gentleness and strength.
This work is personal to me because I see birth and postpartum as sacred rites of passage that deserve protection and reverence. As a mother myself, I understand how vulnerable and transformative this season can be, and I will care for you with the same tenderness, respect, and attentiveness I would want during my own journey. Supporting families during this transition is a privilege, and I hope you feel safe, nurtured, and deeply supported in my care.
