Jennifer Prazak

Jen Prazak is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Registered Nurse based in Chicago, Illinois. Since beginning her career in maternal health in 2015, she has cared for growing families as a Labor & Delivery Nurse at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and as a Lactation Consultant at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Through these experiences, Jen has developed a deep understanding of both the challenges and the incredible joys that accompany pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum journey.

Jen believes every family deserves compassionate, individualized support that honors their unique infant feeding goals. Whether a parent chooses to breastfeed, exclusively pump, combination feed, or bottle feed, she is committed to providing evidence-based guidance while prioritizing the well-being of both mother and baby. Her goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where parents feel heard, confident, and empowered.

Committed to providing the highest quality care, Jen stays current with the latest evidence in lactation through continuing education with the Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine (IABLE), active involvement in the Northern Illinois Lactation Consultant Association (NILCA) and ongoing collaboration with fellow lactation consultants.

She combines clinical expertise with genuine warmth, recognizing that every family's journey is different. Her greatest hope is that each parent leaves feeling more confident, supported and equipped with the knowledge and reassurance they need to care for their baby.

Supporting individuals through pregnancy and the postpartum period is deeply meaningful to me. Every day, I have the privilege of witnessing the incredible strength, resilience and love that new parents bring to this journey. While this season can be beautiful, it can also feel overwhelming at times and you don't have to navigate it alone.

My role is to meet you where you are, offer evidence-based guidance and provide unwavering support as we work through challenges together. I hope to be a source of encouragement and reassurance, helping you build confidence in yourself and your ability to care for your baby. You already have so much within you, and I'm simply here to help you recognize it.
