Bio

Jessica began her journey in 2009, though in many ways it started long before that, after experiencing a traumatic birth in 2003 that forever shaped the way she views support, advocacy, and care for mothers and families. Today, she is a Certified Birth Doula, Certified Postpartum Doula, Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, and Certified newborn photographer, also offering maternity, birth, and family photography. Her work is rooted in both professional training and lived experience, with a deep commitment to helping families feel supported, seen, and nurtured through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond.

She specializes in infant care, lactation support, and caring for the family as a whole, knowing that true postpartum support extends far beyond the baby alone. With over a decade of childcare experience, Jessica brings a calm, capable, and compassionate presence into the home, and she genuinely loves caring for older siblings and even beloved pets as part of that experience. As a mother of six children herself (with a set of twins in the middle), she understands firsthand the beauty, demands, and tenderness of family life. She also deeply believes in holistic wellness and in nurturing the body from the inside out, honoring the connection between physical healing, emotional well-being, and the rhythms of everyday life.

In addition to her professional work, Jessica is honored to volunteer her photography through Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, serving bereaved parents with remembrance photography, as well as The Tilly Project, which supports families facing terminal illness in their pets. She also volunteers with a nonprofit that provides families facing terminal illness with meaningful final family portraits.

Alongside her work and family life, she cares for her mini farm, which reflects so much of what she values, slowness, stewardship, connection, and wholehearted nurturing. It is her greatest privilege to walk alongside families in both the sacred beginnings and the deeply meaningful moments that shape their stories.

Message to new parents

I believe every parent deserves to be reminded of just how capable they are. I think in the rush of it all we sometimes forget that or question ourselves. (Is this right? Am I good enough?) I firmly believe that when a family is supported from the very beginning it sets them up for long-term success.
