Jocelyn (she/her/ella) is a full-spectrum doula supporting families in Chicago, Illinois. Coming from a Mexican family, she had the opportunity to first learn from her mother how to provide traditional care during the “cuarentena” and witnessed first hand the importance of birth work and support. Inspired to continue to provide this essential care, Jocelyn went on to receive her certification and has been providing labor and postpartum support since 2024.
Jocelyn is deeply committed to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive support to all families. Fluent in English and Spanish, she brings an understanding of cultural traditions to her practice, including experience with traditional cuarentena support for postpartum care. Outside of her doula work, Jocelyn enjoys exploring new coffee shops, and spending quality time with her two bulldogs.She understand the importance of fur babies and is very comfortable around pets. Jocelyn is passionate about fostering a safe, nurturing environment where families can feel empowered and supported at every stage.
I believe every parent deserves the emotional, physical and educational support to best bond and care for their newborns. It is also important that parents are able to be cared for and nurtured to be able to show up at as their best selves for themselves and each other as they navigate parenthood.
