Keena Michon, widely recognized across social media as Your Community Doula, is a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula dedicated to supporting families with compassion, cultural awareness, and deep commitment. With more than 17 years of experience in the childcare field, her professional journey includes work as a nanny, professional babysitter, and director-qualified teacher, making her a trusted guide for families from all backgrounds.
Her career has spanned classrooms across Chicago, where she has nurtured children ranging from six weeks to twelve years old. Beyond childcare, Keena’s true calling is uplifting the entire family unit through education, birth support, and intentional fourth-trimester coaching. In 2020, she answered this calling by becoming a doula, driven by the mission to help address the high maternal mortality rate among women of color—particularly African and Black women—through hands-on care and accessible, community-centered education.

She is a Certified Birth Doula and Certified Postpartum Doula through Birth and Baby University, a Certified Lactation Specialist with Lactation Education Consultants, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified by the National CPR Foundation, and trained in Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
