Kelli Knight

Kelli Knight is a dedicated lactation consultant and registered nurse who specializes in the care of infants and nursing mothers. Her life and work experience has created expansive and diverse knowledge of overcoming challenges for the breastfeeding dyad. Kelli began her nursing career in 2002 working with newborn and preterm infants in local hospitals. Through her experience in the hospital systems she gained valuable knowledge of all the challenges that come along with the care of this population. She has experienced working with various culture backgrounds of her patients as well as her coworkers. Kelli had her own breastfeeding challenges with her own children. Through these experiences, Kelli developed a hunger and passion for learning more about lactation, how to better serve this population and ways to advocate changes that support breastfeeding. She loves to share her knowledge as a dedicated and passionate educator in the community. She continues to teach breastfeeding education along with newborn resuscitation classes for healthcare providers and various caregivers. She has expanded her care to helping breastfeeding dyads in Houston and surrounding area by providing in-home and outpatient clinic consults for lactation and infant care. Kelli is known for her cool, calm, and collected personality and brings a sense of peace to stressful and emotional situations. 

I believe that every breastfeeding mother/ infant dyad should have dedicated advocacy and support throughout their entire breastfeeding journey. Meeting people where they are mentally and physically and developing a plan that fits their needs, goals and cultural beliefs is my passion and pleasure. My goal for each encounter is to leave them with the confidence that they were listened to, understood, passionately cared for and are comfortable with the plan we create.
