Krista Arriaga

Krista is a dedicated doula based in the western suburbs and serving families throughout Chicagoland. With 15 years of experience in childcare and education, she has spent the last seven years focusing her heart and expertise almost exclusively on newborn and toddler care. As a trusted partner for families navigating the "fourth trimester," Krista specializes in helping parents find their unique rhythm with a new baby.

Krista’s path was shaped by a more than two-year infertility journey and a first birth that highlighted the importance of having a dedicated advocate by your side. Those early experiences sparked a mission to ensure that no parent feels sidelined. Now, as an EMBRACE Full-Spectrum Certified Doula and a mother of three—having navigated three unmedicated births of her own—Krista brings a rare blend of personal resilience and professional skill to the labor room. She provides an informed, hands-on presence, acting as both a physical anchor for the birthing person and a dedicated coach for partners to ensure the entire family feels confident and connected.

Today, Krista is known for being a steady, grounding presence who helps families find their "groove" during one of life's most vulnerable chapters. Her approach blends a deep, evidence-based understanding of infant development with the seasoned intuition of a mother of three. Whether she is offering logistical support for a return to the workforce or providing a non-judgmental ear during a difficult night, Krista is committed to ensuring that families feel supported rather than sidelined.

Outside of work, she finds inspiration in the beautiful chaos of life with her own children and large extended family. On a sunny day, you can usually find her at the Brookfield Zoo with her kids, enjoying a scoop of ice cream, or winding down with a suspenseful audiobook.

I strive to guide parents toward feeling more competent, connected to their intuition, and better equipped to advocate for their needs. When I think about the families I support, I hope they feel deeply seen, fully capable, and completely held as they step into their newest chapter.
