Kyara Scott is a full-spectrum doula, perinatal mental health therapist, and social worker who supports individuals and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Her work centers emotional safety, informed choice, and culturally responsive care, rooted in the belief that no one should navigate birth or major life transitions feeling unseen or alone.
With a foundation in social work and clinical training as a therapist, Kyara brings a trauma-informed, holistic approach to birth work. She has professional experience in healthcare and perinatal mental health settings, supporting individuals as they navigate emotional stress, trauma, grief, and complex systems. This background allows her to honor both emotional and physical wellbeing as deeply interconnected.
Kyara blends therapeutic insight with evidence-based education, intuition, advocacy, and care that is deeply relational. She understands that trust, nervous system regulation, and emotional safety are just as essential as information and physical support.
She was drawn to birth work through a deep awareness of the maternal health crisis in the United States, particularly the disproportionate risks faced by Black birthing people. Her work is grounded in the belief that advocacy, presence, and community-centered care can be life-saving.
Kyara shows up with steadiness, compassion, and intention. She meets families where they are, offering emotional and therapeutic support, hands-on comfort measures, education, and advocacy within medical spaces when needed. Her care prioritizes informed consent, bodily autonomy, and collaborative decision-making.
She believes there is room for laughter and lightness, even in serious moments, and understands that genuine connection builds safety. Above all, Kyara’s approach is relational. She believes birth and healing are not meant to be carried alone, but held in community.
With clinical insight, warmth, and humanity, Kyara supports families with both skill and heart, reminding them they do not have to navigate this experience alone.
