La Toria “Tori” Tagger has been a dedicated mother for 17 years, giving birth to two children and helping raise over 20 others. Her love for caring for children started early in her life and has grown into a lifelong mission of service, compassion, and advocacy.
For the past four years, Tori has worked as a Community Health Worker, educating the community about STIs and HIV prevention and empowering individuals with the knowledge and resources they need to protect their health. She also serves as the Women’s Leader and President of the Youth Department at her church, where she mentors, supports, and inspires women and young people to walk in faith and purpose.
As a labor, postpartum, and infant care doula, Tori believes that every mother deserves a joyful pregnancy, free from trauma, judgment, and fear. She is committed to ensuring that children are welcomed into the world safe, loved, and unburdened by generational trauma. Guided by her faith in Jesus Christ and a deep belief in the power of love, peace, and awareness, Tori provides holistic, heart-centered care to mothers and families throughout the City of Detroit.
My hope for you is that you feel supported, seen, and cared for every step of your journey into parenthood. I believe every mother deserves a joyful pregnancy—free from fear, trauma, or judgment—and that every child should be welcomed into the world with love and peace.
I am dedicated to supporting parents, especially single mothers or those navigating motherhood alone, to help them realize they are not alone. My work as a doula is based on compassion, faith, and the belief that awareness enables us to make choices that foster healing and break cycles of generational trauma.
It is an honor to be part of such a sacred time in a family’s life, and I consider it a blessing to provide the emotional, physical, and spiritual support that helps parents feel confident, empowered, and at peace. My hope is that you experience the birth and postpartum season with joy, strength, and the reassurance that you are deeply loved.
