Lisa Herranz

Lisa Herranz, RN, IBCLC is a nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant based in Chicago, IL. She has been passionately serving lactating families for almost 2 decades as a maternal health nurse and for 12 years as a lactation consultant.

Lisa began her nursing career in Labor and Delivery and Community Health. Her passion for breastfeeding support intensified when she experienced breastfeeding struggles after the birth of her daughter. She became an IBCLC in 2013 and has been providing empathetic, knowledgeable and evidence-based care for lactating families ever since in hospitals, outpatient settings and client’s homes. She has experience with young parents, premature babies, multiples, tongue and lip tie, feeding aversions, LGBTQIA+ families, and she speaks Spanish.

Lisa deeply believes that every family’s breastfeeding journey is different and that all lactation support should be guided by the family’s own goals and unique circumstances. She truly loves her work and strives to provide client-centered, compassionate lactation support to help each family achieve their breastfeeding goals.

I believe that you are truly the expert on your unique baby. My role is to listen to your concerns and provide you with the information and skills needed to help you meet your breastfeeding goals. I also believe that humor is incredibly important and will do my best to make our visit fun!
