MiYanna Smith-Stamps

MiYanna is a community based birth doula and Certified Lactation Counselor supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in the south suburban Chicago area. Her work is grounded in presence, preparation, and respect. With several years of experience in home visiting and community based family support, MiYanna is deeply familiar with walking alongside families in real life circumstances. She helps parents prepare in practical, thoughtful ways and supports them through labor and the early weeks with steadiness and care.

MiYanna has supported inductions, vaginal and cesarean births, feeding challenges, and postpartum recovery. As a Certified Lactation Counselor and trained child passenger safety technician, she understands that birth support extends beyond the delivery room. She pays close attention to the details that build confidence over time, offering clear guidance, hands on support when needed, and space for families to process their experiences at their own pace.
