Bio

Nicolle Girves is a compassionate and dedicated birth and postpartum doula who brings warmth, experience, and a genuine passion for supporting families through pregnancy, childbirth, and the early days of parenthood. With more than 20 years of experience as an educator and seven years as a parent educator and home visitor, Nicolle understands the importance of nurturing not only babies but the entire family. She believes every family deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, and empowered during one of life's most meaningful transitions.

Nicolle holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and is a DONA-trained doula with additional training in Spinning Babies and the Body Ready Method. Her unique combination of experience in education, child development, and birth support allows her to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that meets families where they are. She specializes in prenatal education, labor positioning and comfort measures, emotional support, postpartum adjustment, and helping parents build confidence as they navigate their new roles. She is especially passionate about maternal mental health and ensuring families have the resources, encouragement, and support they need to thrive.

What makes Nicolle's approach special is her ability to blend professional knowledge with a calm, nurturing presence. She understands that no two births or families are alike and takes pride in building genuine relationships rooted in trust, compassion, and respect. Whether she's helping a mother prepare for birth, offering reassurance during labor, or supporting a family through the emotional changes of postpartum life, Nicolle strives to be a steady, encouraging presence. For her, being a doula is more than providing a service—it's about making sure families feel supported, valued, and never alone during this tender chapter of their lives.

Message to new parents

I believe every parent deserves to feel supported, confident, and cared for throughout their journey into parenthood. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your concerns, and making the choices that are best for your family. One of the greatest joys of my work is watching parents discover their own strength, trust their instincts, and realize they are more capable than they ever imagined.
