Norma is a full-spectrum doula and public health professional based in Chicago, Illinois, with a deep commitment to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and the many transitions that come with a growing family. She holds a Master of Public Health and brings several years of experience advancing maternal and child health, reproductive justice, and birth equity initiatives across Illinois. Norma completed her full-spectrum doula training to deepen her ability to pair systems-level advocacy with compassionate, person-centered support for families. Her work in public health has given her a unique understanding of how health systems, culture, access, and community resources can shape a person's pregnancy and birth experience. She was drawn to doula work because she believes families deserve to feel heard, informed, respected, and empowered in the decisions they make about their bodies and their care. As a first-generation Assyrian-American, Norma also brings an appreciation for the ways culture, family, identity, and tradition can influence pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. Families working with Norma can expect a warm, grounding, and nonjudgmental presence alongside practical, evidence-informed support. Norma's goal is to help create spaces where people feel cared for, respected, and confident in their own voices.
I believe every parent deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My goal is to be a steady person in your corner. It is a privilege to be welcomed into such a personal chapter of a family's life, and I hope every family and person I support feels genuinely cared for, empowered, and never alone in the process.
