Rose Duffy (she/her) is an occupational therapist and lactation consultant based just north of Chicago, Illinois. Rose demonstrates a deep commitment to delivering judgment-free, evidence-based care and is dedicated to supporting families through the complex transitions of pregnancy and early parenthood.
Rose holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Italian from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from the University of Illinois Chicago. She is a an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and DONA-trained as a postpartum doula. Rose spent over a decade working in hospital settings as an OT, with a focus on oncology and end-of-life care before transitioning into perinatal work.
Rose now works in the Chicagoland area, providing in-home lactation support that integrates her OT perspective. Her approach is gentle, evidence-based, and rooted in the belief that empowering new parents nurtures their self-efficacy. She draws on her clinical background, personal experience with postpartum depression and anxiety, and dual expertise as both an OT and IBCLC to offer care that is both compassionate and practical.
My hope for you is that you can tune out the noise and trust yourself and your baby. If you can do that, you can feel empowered and confident about whatever decisions you need to make surrounding lactation and infant feeding. You are so capable!
