Rosy Covarrubias, CD(DONA), CLC, CPST, has been supporting families as a doula since 2015. Her path to birth work began while working in a doctor’s office, where she witnessed how difficult it could be for providers, with limited time, to give patients all the information and support they needed. She found herself wanting to be the person who could slow things down, listen, answer questions, and remind families that their voices and experiences matter. That desire led her to become a doula and has continued to shape the way she supports families today.
Rosy approaches doula work with warmth, compassion, and genuine curiosity about each family’s individual experience. She wants her clients to feel comfortable coming to her with questions, concerns, hopes, or even things they may not feel comfortable saying elsewhere. Alongside birth and postpartum support, Rosy incorporates practices such as rebozo work and cuarentena, honoring the importance of care, rest, connection, and transition during this significant time in a family’s life. She believes that support is not about telling someone how their birth should look, but about walking alongside them, helping them feel informed and supported, and creating a space where they can feel heard, respected, and cared for.
