Shaterah Greene

Shaterah is a compassionate full-spectrum doula supporting families through birth and postpartum in Chicago, Illinois. She approaches every family with care rooted in empathy, cultural awareness and real-life understanding of what it means to navigate the new journey of motherhood. Shaterah has been supporting families long before she held a title. Shaterah fell in love caring for newborn babies at a young age with caring for her siblings. Motherhood became the turning point that solicited her purpose. It gave her a deeper understanding of the strength, vulnerability and transformation that comes with bringing life into the world. The families Shaterah works with appreciate her safe, customized approach in labor and delivery. Her care is not just about birth-it’s about honoring the entire journey of motherhood. Shaterah spends her free time cooking for her family, and creating new memories with her children. 

I believe every parent deserves unwavering support, safe space to unravel, and someone in their corner who honors their voice, body and story. My favorite part of this work is witnessing the transformation, being the one families can lean on through the beautiful and raw moments of birth and beyond.
