Sherica Malone-Blakey

Sherica Blakey is a full-spectrum doula supporting families through birth and postpartum on Chicago’s Southeast Side and throughout the Chicagoland area. She is deeply passionate about whole-person care, offering continuous physical and emotional support, and serving as an unwavering advocate for every client she works with.

Sherica has been walking alongside families as a birth worker for over 10 years and proudly became an EMBRACE Full-Spectrum Certified Doula in 2025.

In addition to her doula work, Sherica is a Certified Nursing Assistant with more than 20 years of experience providing care from pediatrics through geriatrics. She is fully up to date on all vaccinations and certified in both infant and adult CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. Her strong medical background enhances her ability to provide safe, informed, and compassionate support.

Her love for caregiving began in her early teens, when she discovered the joy of caring for newborns and launched a neighborhood babysitting club. Over the years, that passion has grown into a calling. Clients consistently appreciate her positive energy, reliability, hands-on skills, and empowering holistic approach to labor and delivery.

When she’s not working with families, Sherica enjoys spending time with her loved ones and embracing newlywed life. She is also dedicated to continuing her education and is preparing to further her career as a Certified Professional Midwife in the near future.

This work is personal to me: as a mother of seven, I went  through pregnancy and the child birthing experience alone. Without a doubt, I could have had a better experience in whole,  If I myself had a doula. So, it is my mission of ensuring that I am holding space, and providing unwavering commitment to every parent I support at any level of service.
