Tamika Lloyd

Tamika S. Lloyd, CD, CPPD has been working as a certified labor, birth and postpartum doula, she offers compassionate and practical support to families throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based information, and strives to create a safe and nurturing space for families to explore their options and make choices that align with their values. She trained in various comfort measures and techniques to help manage pain and promote relaxation during labor. 

Tamika’s services include newborn care, feeding support, household tasks, and emotional support for parents. She believes that every family deserves a peaceful and supported transition into parenthood, and she is dedicated to providing tailored support that meets each family's unique needs. She is serving Michigan, Texas and willing to serve other states. 

Her journey to becoming a doula began with her own transformative birth experiences. She was deeply impacted by the support she received and felt called to empower other families as they navigate this incredible life event. Tamika was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She has worked in the medical field for nearly 20 years. When not supporting birthing families, cultivating an herb garden, she is exploring hiking trails with her group. She enjoys quiet moments with a good book. She loves getting cuddles from her teacup yorkie, Shuggie. Yes she is a dog mom. She loves traveling. Tamika cannot wait to meet you and your family. 

Witnessing and supporting families as they experience bringing a new life into the world is a privilege. The hope is that parents feel empowered, informed, and truly cared for as they begin this journey.
