Teshiauna Thomas

Teshiauna is a Chicago-based Full-Spectrum Doula who provides compassionate, individualized support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. She is passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where families feel heard, respected, informed, and confident in their choices. With additional training focused on high-risk pregnancies and trauma-informed care, Teshiauna understands the importance of meeting each family where they are and providing support without judgment.

Her experience includes supporting families from a variety of backgrounds, including mothers experiencing challenging life circumstances and trauma. She brings a calm, patient, and dependable presence to her work while offering practical education, emotional support, newborn care, postpartum recovery support, and advocacy. Teshiauna believes there is no one “right” way to experience pregnancy, birth, or postpartum, and she takes the time to understand each family’s individual needs, preferences, and goals.

Outside of her professional work, Teshiauna is also a mother, which has deepened her appreciation for how transformative the journey into parenthood can be. Her own experience with motherhood has strengthened her desire to ensure families feel cared for during a time when they are often focused on caring for everyone else. She strives to be the reassuring, reliable presence families can lean on while adjusting to life with their new baby.

I believe every parent deserves to feel heard, supported, and cared for throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As a mother myself, this work is personal to me, and my goal is to provide the kind of compassionate, judgment-free support that allows families to feel comfortable, confident, and never alone during such an important chapter of their lives.
