Wendy Madrid Lazo is a certified birth doula, childbirth educator, mother, and midwifery student serving families throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Her passion for birth work began in 2020, when she gave birth to her son during the height of the COVID lockdowns. Surrounded by her midwife and birth team who believed in her, Wendy discovered how empowering birth can be when a person feels safe, supported, and trusted. That transformative experience inspired her to become a doula and dedicate her work to helping others feel the same strength and confidence.
Wendy believes that childbirth is not just a medical event—it’s a transformative life experience. Her philosophy is grounded in the belief that knowledge and compassionate support build confidence, and confidence leads to empowerment. Known for her calm presence, professionalism, and inclusive care, she creates a supportive environment where families feel seen, heard, and informed as they prepare for birth with clarity and self-trust.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Wendy’s care is uniquely shaped by her midwifery training, holistic perspective, and heart-centered approach, blending evidence-based education with nurturing support to guide families through one of life’s most powerful transformations.
Outside of her work, Wendy enjoys spending time outdoors, being with her family—especially her son—going to church, practicing Pilates, studying, and watching movies.
I believe every parent deserves to feel supported, informed, and confident as they prepare for one of life’s most transformative experiences. This work is personal to me because my own birth journey showed me how empowering it can be when you feel safe, trusted, and cared for. I provide compassionate guidance, evidence-based education, and hands-on support during labor, including counter-pressure, massage, and other comfort measures to help manage pain. My favorite part of this work is witnessing the moment a parent holds their baby for the first time—seeing all their hard work come to life. It is my honor to support families through this journey.
