Dr. Melissa Dennis is a board-certified OB/GYN and the Chief Medical Officer for Partum Health, a healthcare company that makes proactive, interdisciplinary care accessible for families going through pregnancy or postpartum. Dr. Dennis leads a team of providers that help birthing individuals access the specialized, comprehensive care needed to improve health outcomes. She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University in Chicago following her BA/MD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Dennis also holds her Master in Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University. While caring for both low- and high-risk pregnancies, Dr. Dennis also held several leadership roles at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, including serving as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She made it a priority to mentor medical students and residents, shaping how future physicians approach their work, with compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to evidence-based care. She is the co-founder of Citizen-MD and served as a medical advisor for NBC Universal’s “One Chicago” series for ten years.
