Jasemine (JAZ-uh-meen) Jones is a full-spectrum, holistic birth and postpartum doula based in Chicago, Illinois. With a background rooted in public health, reproductive justice, and energetic healing, Jasemine brings a deeply intentional and nurturing approach to every family she supports. Her work is grounded in her lifelong passion for serving women and children, informed by personal experience and a commitment to community-based care.
Jasemine’s journey into birthwork began with early volunteer experiences at the University of Chicago, inspired by witnessing her brother’s health challenges. While working as a janitor at the University of Kentucky, she developed a strong sense of order and care — skills that now translate into creating grounded, sacred environments for her clients. Jasemine went on to study public health, where she learned about the disparities in maternal health outcomes and found her calling in birthwork. She completed a holistic doula certification and served as a logistics intern with Chicago Birthworks Collective. She also worked as a medical assistant at Planned Parenthood in their abortion care clinic, deepening her understanding of reproductive autonomy and full-spectrum support.
In addition to her doula work, Jasemine is a certified Reiki practitioner who believes deeply in the power of energy, embodiment, and self-restoration. Her approach to care is trauma-informed, spiritually grounded, and focused on empowering families to show up as their best selves. She most recently worked as a research assistant at Northwestern University on maternal health outcomes and provided doula care through Cook County’s health system. Fully certified in lactation support, childbirth education, and postpartum care, Jasemine offers a unique blend of holistic insight, medical knowledge, and soul-centered support. She is known for her calm presence, warm spirit, and ability to bring peace and power to even the most intense birth spaces.
My hope for you is to remember that it truly takes a village to raise a child — and there is no shame in seeking support. You weren’t meant to do this alone, and I’m honored to walk alongside you, offering care, knowledge, and calm so you can pour into yourself and show up as the parent you’re meant to be.
