Anna Thelen

Anna is a passionate Certified Childbirth International Birth Doula who believes every family deserves compassionate, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental support throughout their birth journey. In the past ten+ years working as a birth doula, she has supported a wide variety of birth experiences, including medicated and unmedicated births, cesarean births, and VBACs. Her goal is to help families feel informed, confident, and supported as they welcome their baby. 

Known for her warm, steady, and calming presence, Anna helps create a safe and comforting space where families feel heard, respected, and cared for. She works closely with parents during pregnancy to answer questions, explore their preferences, and prepare them for a range of possible birth scenarios so they can approach birth feeling ready and empowered.  

During labor, Anna provides steady emotional, physical, and informational support while encouraging partners to feel confident and involved in the birth experience. Her collaborative approach allows her to work well alongside care providers while keeping the family’s needs and comfort at the center.

Anna believes birth is a deeply personal and transformative experience, and she is honored to walk alongside families with warmth, encouragement, and unwavering support as they welcome their new baby.   

When not supporting families, Anna can be found in the kitchen trying new recipes, reading her newest bookstore find, spending time with those she loves, and spending as much time outside as possible.
